What is your favorite soft plastic when drop shot fishing?

Can you tell it is winter here in my Maine and I have some extra time on my hands as I clean and maintain my rods and reels and organize my tackle for the coming year?

What is your drop shot confidence bait? For me, the Jackall Crosstail Shad, in both the 3" and the 4", have become a huge confidence bait this past spring and fall. Caught several 4+ lb fish this fall on the Crosstail shad.

Curious to hear what others are using when they hit the water with a drop shot rod in their hands. Thanks for looking and tight lines!

What species are you primarily targeting with shad shape worm? I am chasing smallies in pretty clear deep water. You?

Small Robo worms in Morning dawn are my first choice. Ned Bomb work decent as well. Last year tried some Hazedong Shad’s that seemed good. Years ago someone here sent me Xzone jammers/whammers that I liked

I know a lot of people use robo worms to drop shot, and I've just never figured out the best way to fish them. Do you use a nose hook with those worms or do you Texas rig those worms?

It is funny I purchased a bunch last year, and I had ZERO luck on the Flat Worms, to the point I have a bunch of packages I am going to list for sale.. :-)

It must be me, I must be doing something wrong. I kill them on the Jackall Crosstail Shad, that is my confidence bait.

Smallmouth vs largemouth makes a difference as others said. That said, I throw it A LOT, and if I could only fish one, it’d have to be a 6” Roboworm.

I “nose hook” (which I say in quotes as I’ve taken to threading them onto a light wire straight shank instead of traditional nose hooking the last couple seasons) when in open water, or Texas rig on something like a Rebarb around cover.

Hmmm, never thought of a baby brush as a drop shot bait. Largies or both species? Set up you use for that rig?

I'll go with a smaller sized Xzone slammer. Poor boy goby. Zoom has a dropshot worm that works well too.

I just grabbed some zoom worms for drop shotting. Which ones are you using (do you recall the name)?

3.6" and 4.2" Maxscent Flat Worms, 4.5" Maxscent Hit Worms, Roboworm 4.5" and 6", and 7" Zman WormZ have all caught fish for me on very tough fisheries.
