Hot Summer Bass on Lake Hartwell

We had our club tourney last Saturday. Of course the Corps threw us a curve by dropping the lake about a foot and a half since we'd pre-fished earlier in the week.

You can find the bucket mouths early in the shallow backs of creeks in and around the willows. Buzz baits and floating worms seem to be the most productive in about 3 to 5 feet of water.
Main lake points as well slow rolling spinners and deep cranks.
Docks are not as productive as I thought they'd be this time of year. But I may not have looked in the right spots. Drop me a line if your going to be in the area and we'll get together.

    Thanks for sharing Bear.

Good to see a fishing report post even if I don't fish that lake.

How far did you run up the river ? Been fishing the Keowee River from the second cove on the left up to the mouth of the Newry River and have done descent fishing docks and points with some fish ( smaller spots ) schooling.. Cant wait for the temp to drop roughly 10 degrees......
