Pulling a tube, skier behind the 2019 Nitro Z21

My grandkids are visiting next this summer and wanted to enjoy time on the lake if the fish aren't biting with them. I have the Mercury 250 hanging on a Bob's Machine jackplate along with twin MK 12' Talons & Talon brackets. Anyone found some way to attach ski rope to the rear of this set up? Any thoughts are also welcome.

I would get a V-sling and hook it to the tie down loops that you secure it to the trailer with.

Thanks Pat. I'll take a look at that option. With that set up, hooking it up to the tie down mounts on the jackplate the leads would have to run up and over the Talon bracket or under the Talon bracket

The one complaint from the kids when using a bridle type of device is the rope slapping into the water creating a stinging sensation to the riders face, other than that, this is the way to go. I posted this issue a while back, and I got a couple of really good ideas. There is the bar rail that goes around the motor with a pulley wheel, cost is expensive. The other option is the big ol' football that keeps the rope elevated, cost cheaper but you're towing a football plus the tube. On my 150, I could only make about 3 or 4 runs, then had too cool the motor. Had to change the impeller every year that I pulled tubes. Tubes are the worst to pull for the resistance in the water.

Since you have poles and a JP, it limits your options. The Y harness even without the Talons, the Y harness is barely long enough and puts the hook right over or near the prop. You must be very vigilant to keep the rope and harness out of your prop.

The Turboswing is about the best option but it is not cheap. Maybe rent a pontoon or deck boat when they are visiting.

I used the Atwood pedestal base model. But I couldn't recommend them, after two seasons of use it cracked the fiberglass at the base. That was on my 2006 911 CDC with a 225, and no poles.

I rigged my ski bridle with plastic tubing, then i wen over the top of the brackets. But then i got a a all cable version. The rope will be low in the water no matter wat you do. Hard to swing and the rope will spray water in the tubers face. One of those tow balls would help with that. Have done it on many of my boats for many years.
