Is it under the gas tank or further forward in the bilge? I can’t see it. I used to be able to see my bait drop down but now I can’t so I was trying to see if it had come loose or something.

Big Daddy are you talking about bow or Helm. If your fishing from bow and lost 2d
depending upon what units you have will depend on your problem.
High speed 2D is in the bilge.

We need to know more info on what your electronics and setup are.

For the Lowrance HDS9 console unit. I know it’s supposed to be in the bilge but I can’t see it anywhere. My partner fishing in the back used to be able to see his bait when fishing vertical under the boat, but now he can’t. I’m trying to find it so I can see if something has happened to it.

Did you loose your high speed 2d when you are running?
If you did, there is your problem. It could very easily be the sensitivity setting on the transducer
that is causing him not to see it.
