Anyone have a good recipe for smoking some tri-tip?

I reverse sear on a Weber kettle, if you smoke one it still needs a sear IMO.

Reverse sear or bounce it off a hot grill. I do them no more than medium rare and a little less is OK. More than that and they get dry and lose their flavor.

Reverse sear to medium rare. I season with traeger coffee rub or just SPOG. Its one of our favorites.

Hit it with your favorite rub, cook slow to just below desired doneness and sear. I love it sliced on really good buns for sandwiches.

I smoke mine at 200 for 2 hours then sear but I do like mine on the medium well side.

When I was out of the office more doing field work before Covid I'd typically cook one almost every Sunday and slice them up for my lunch pack for the week. Haven't cooked many lately might just pick one up today on our weekly Sunday grocery run.

Thanks all. I had some at a barbecue not too long ago and have been craving since! It was tasty!
