Question Lithium Cranking Battery - 2003 Johnson 150HP Outboard

I am currently using a AGM 31 series battery for my cranking battery, and to run all my electronics. I also use two (2) AGM 31 Series batteries for my Minn Kota, Ultrex 24V trolling motor. All batteries are charged using an onboard, 3-bank battery charger.

Can I upgrade to a Lithium cranking battery on a 2003 Johnson 150HP outboard, Model# J150GLSTF, without damaging the motor?

Recommend you make a search on this topic in this forum. The topic has been discussed and reviewed several times already - even in the last 4-5 months. No specific problems were noted with current users. BRP states the Evinrude charging system is designed for lead-acid batteries. Follow the battery makers recommendations on charging requirements.

Especially the charging system on the carb motors, they only put out 35 AMPs max not a lot of power for a Lithium system.
