    Trim Indicator Gauge

I am in the process of rigging twin '05 175 Evinrudes.
I am using the trim indicator gauges from my '95 175 Johnsons.
Is the polarity different? Seems like they are wired backwards (indicates down when the engine is up and vice versa) but I'm sure I put the white wire on the S pin, or is the polarity of the signal opposite from the '05 t0 the '95 engines?

    Any input is welcome...

What brand are these gauges? Is the needle moving if you manually manipulate the trim sender arm?
There is a little fog in my memory but I believe they should work. The white w/tan stripe wire should be on the S terminal as you stated.

    Engines are Evinrudes.
Not sure about the movement and moving the trim sender.

Gauge wiring should be the same as it was on the old motors. Purple, tan/white, black.

Update: I am embarrassed to admit that the wires were installed in the MWS in the wrong pins (Green vs Blue) AND I did not realize the engine was going up when I held the button in the down position and Vice Versa Once I corrected the wiring everything worked correctly........
