Other than depth, why would you pick one over the other?

Rather NOT have pumps, and rather have anchors that go straight down and not crab leg behind the boat. Also dont have to worry about Talons picking up grass, weeds, lillys etc when picking back up. I have been using BT Talons for a cpl yrs and no issues at all.

Considered switching to raptors from talons this year on my lund but decided not too. I liked the idea of them being lighter but like what was said above I like not having pumps and the work lights are awesome to have early in the morning and after sundown. I decidedto stick with my talons

Had (3) Talons - South Louisiana in marshy, sandy, and other bottoms. Fish windy coastlines. The last time the Talon exploded the spool will be the LAST time.
Quick Pros of Talon:
All electric
When they work - They Work.
Fairly quiet.
Cons of Talon:
Still provide back deck interference when deployed
When they break - you have to remove from boat to get home.
They break often (I fish 30-40 weekends a year) They broke every year.
I now have Raptor - 6 months in - No problems.
We'll have to see how durability lasts
Had 15' Talons on my last rig for a few years. have 8' blades on my current rig. While the blades are nice I actually liked the talons better. Lakes around me are full of submerged brush and the talons worked better in them. Straight down, no issues. The blade seem to tangle easy and push you forward when deploying in the brush.
