Best finesse jig hook

Hello,

Looking for a new hook for small finesse jigs from 1/8oz up to 5/16. The hook I have been using is a daiichi 4631 in 2/0 but it's been discontinued and is very hard to find. Looking for a light wire preferably 60⁰ bend hook. I'm also looking into 90⁰ bends as well. I have some 2/0 gamakatsu 111 hooks I'm going to try next. I use the 4/0 version of this hook for larger jigs.

Try the Eagle Claw 2729 BP, they make a 2/0 but the only place I've been able to find it is Captain Hooks.

Take a look at VMC 9247 BN. It has a bit longer shank, but its a 90 degree hook.

My favorite is the Gamakatsu 614 Lite Wire Jig Hook in 3/0 as seen in my 1/4 ounce Home-Made Ball Head Finesse Jig.

Do you know what the wire diameter of the Daiichi hook is? The only light wire 60 degree jig hook I've seen is the Mustad 32729 that has a .041" wire, but it comes in 3/0 for it's smallest size. It may fit your mold where the other 60 degree heavy wire 2/0 hooks won't. This hook is NOT a flat eye hook. Look at the 2/0 Mustad 32798 if your mold uses a 60 deree flat eye hook.
