    Rib roast

I have decided to try a standing rib roast on the RecTec. I have always done them in the oven at 350d and like how that comes out, but I know there are many who advocate lower temps for a more even cook.

RecTec shows 2 recipes - one at 225d and one at 275d but neither give a cooking time. How do you cook yours and how long does it take if you use a lower temperature?

I use this with a garlic herb butter coating. Absolutely amazing on the smoker. I pull at 115.
    Enjoy!

Use 2 hours for a starting point. Mine yesterday took 1:40 and I pulled at 125. Rubbed with salt, pepper, garlic. Basted twice with butter thyme, rosemary, garlic

I did a 4 rib roast yesterday on the RT700. I did mine at 225, I took it off after 3 hours at 110 and let it rest for 1 hour. I could of pulled it out of the refrigerator s little sooner to bring it up closer to room temp. My starting temp was 43 in the middle.

Here's the recipe I used for the last two years at Christmas. I didn't change anything, and it was some of the best meat I've ever tasted!d

I need to correct the cooking temp, It was 325 not 225.
