1 YEAR MORE WARRANTY?

I'M ABLE TO BUY 1 MORE YEAR WARRANTY ON MY 150 HP SHO FOR $800. Just wondering what you guys would do. My 5 year runs out in March of 2022. Do you think it's a good deal for one more year?

Cheaper to get boat insurance that has “mechanical breakdown” coverage at this point. I don’t know how you ran or maintained your boat to this point so it’d wouldn’t be right for me to advise you to take that one year chance or not.

If i were worried about having a warranty i would be looking for a new boat and motor or you could put the $800 in the bank and add to it each month for future problems.

Do you have the over $10,000 if it goes boom? An example. My brother had a SHO 200 with less than 120 hours that was out of warranty and it would have cost him $10,000 at the time to replace the power head. If I was planning on keeping the boat and motor for a while I would get the warranty and start saving for either a new boat or motor for later.

The motor comes with 3 years and Y.E.S is up to three years. From your OP it seems you already had two years of Y.E.S from the promotion when you go the motor so you have one more year available
