    Tackle Warehouse Hacked

This is a repost from another site...

If you do business with Tackle Warehouse be advised that their site was hacked in October resulting in the loss of credit card and pin numbers of their customers. I already had to cancel my credit card around the 20th of November when my bank detected unauthorized purchases and informed me. Regrettably I only received notice of this hacking from Tackle Warehouse this morning, the 23rd of December.
I got lucky and only had 3 small charges before my debit card company alerted me of suspicious activity in California. But it was still a hassle to cancel and wait for a new card to arrive. Also, had to update a bunch of monthly auto pay withdrawals.

Yah, old snooze. If you watch your card charges and didn't have any weird charges, I'd guess that yours didn't get hit. Mine didn't, anyway. Good reason to avoid Debit Cards, tho. "Amazon" called yesterday to tell me that over $1k worth of electronics was charged to my debit card...and I don't have one.
Don't bother me, I'm screwing for virginity.

I killed a 12-pack just to watch it die.

I had no fraud charges but got the notification today. Better safe than sorry I stopped by my bank for a new card. Glad they print them onsite.

It doesn't look like TW was alone, as it was their entire enterprise.

IMO, there's a bunch of missed opportunity folks on BBC.
The TW hack is smashingly full of potential, real potential.
Place an order. If questioned about the charge later ...

I got the email today too. They stated they knew they had a problem Oct 15. I had three debit cards that I had used with them and one credit hacked. I will NEVER do business with them again. I’ve used them fir years but to not disclose this is unacceptable.

Still no notification from them. I just filed another police report this afternoon for two more transactions totaling $8700 at Draft Kings. Got my banking information, closed account but they "claim" I'm still on the hook. I found out from a collection notice in the mail. Total BS. Could have put protections in place if they would have notified earlier.

As mentioned they just wanted to get through the holiday season and then fall on the sword. How nice of them to do that on the 23rd of December. Two f'in MONTHS after the initial attack. Complete BS , I hope they lose their ass of for lying to their customers.

I just had a card hacked and used on Dec 1. It’s a card I only use for fishing equipment/expenses. Used at TW in Sept and Nov. I have not received an email but it’s likely not a coincidence. If true very poor form not to inform us sooner as I could have had that card replaced sooner. Not coincidentally I also had a credit card application in my name placed with a different bank. Had to put a freeze on my credit.

My card was hacked on December 13. Someone purchased two tickets to Golden State Warriors vs Philadelphia 76ers NBA game. I contacted Capital One and they cancelled my card and started a fraud investigation. They initially credited my account for the $1,335.00, but a week later put the charge back on. I called and was told the investigator talked to Vivid Seats (they are the vendor) who said they also had my email address which a guess made it legitimate. That is total bullshit, I told them that was some investigation since no one contacted me. They have supposedly reopened the investigation. I am highly disappointed in Capital one since if someone can get your credit card data, surely, they have access to your email address as well. What a pain in the ass.
