    12/11/21 report. Still biting

So I worked few hours at work this morning, then got on the water about 12pm water temp 40.2/40.4 definitely cooling down. Started on a off shore rock ref with a jig and it didn’t take long felt the tick and set the hook and In came a 4lb quick pic and back in the water she went. Made a few more cast and…. Yep that was a bite set the hook and another 4lb. Stayed on that spot with a jig for a hour but only 2 bites, but definitely the right bites. Moved to a different spot and got a 3lb with the jerkbait…. Fun afternoon but only 3 bass, I won’t complain though, fishing and catching in December!!! Good times.

I mean, if the action has to be slow, that’s definitely the kind of action you want!

Definitely! I’m hoping I get out over the next few weekends but it gets tough with the holidays and all the family gatherings we will have. If the ice will hold off I’ll have some time off dec-23–Jan-2 heck would like to go south into Missouri but that would be hard to leave the family. I have a feeling it will just snap cold and open water fishing will be over till spring.

I bet today will be a good day. Wagner from the Nebraska DNR said everything was very active last week
