Lake Chicot info

Hi guys,

Planning on a springtime trip to Lake Chicot for my bass club in N. Mississippi. I used to fish this lake some several years ago, but haven't been there in a while. Is the fishing still good? How about boat ramps? I've always used the ramp at Connerly Bayou, but wondered if there were any good ramps in Lake Village.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

There is a ramp downtown but parking is limited. On the other side of the lake is the State Park launching area with plenty of parking. This ramp is closer to the Mississippi River Bridge. There is also a launch ramp on Ditch Bayou. It’s on the south side of 82 before you get to Town traveling west. Like Connelly Bayou, you put in the Bayou and motor into the lake. Haven’t fished it in several years, though.
