    What are some of the best lake in South/Southwest Wisconsin for smallmouths.

    Mendota in Madison has some good smallies. Green lake is another good option
    Fish have fins, they swim

    southwest? Go to the Mississippi River....or just make the trip up to Sturgeon Bay...it will be worth it.

    The Wisconsin river is always a good choice. Even though it's not a lake like you wanted. There are a few lakes west of the dells that are good for large smallies as well. Some are small some are larger.

    Lake Geneva in Walworth county. My best this year was 20” @ 4.7lbs. Lots of boat traffic in the summer. I mostly fish October thru January.

    Come on down to pool 8-13 of mississippi river. Lots of smallies.. If ya can find em.
