I have an Atlas on mine and I like it. I've owned the Bob's on another boat and liked it as well.

Best hydraulic plate hands down is a seastar which is the old detwiler. Atlas are garbage. Bob’s would be my second choice!

I've got the sea star extreme on my Allison now. Very happy with it.

Someone needs to fill me in on Atlas being junk ? I have one haven't seen Any issues what is junk about it? I have had Merc paralift, cooks, Detwiler , The Detwiler needed repairs every season between seals, exact dial malfunction, going up and down on its own. Thats the only plate I had issues with.

I went Bobs hydraulic jack plate and hydrilla gear mounts for the power poles, perfect fit, no hole drilling required. I don't know about the Atlas being junk, know a lot of guys running them with no issues and like them, I do know the Bob's raises like 100 times faster than the Atlas, if thats even a consideration. I like the faster jack plate personally, helps get in trouble faster....LOL

This isn't apples for apples, because I'm running a 20xdc, but maybe worth checking into a little more, I was running a 12" manual, and went to a 14" Bobs hydraulic and it really hurt my hole shot, wishing I would of stayed with a 12". But again thats on my 20'er

I have a Bob's 14" Hydraulic Plate on my 21 xrd and have no complaints, Keep it greased with a good quality waterproof grease and it is as smooth as silk, it is quick up and down.
