My practice wife is retired from Bosch Braking and the guy I fished with for decades worked there until it went to Mexico. Today he builds batteries for the Nissan Leaf. Both would agree with you. I walked through that factory a few times. I questioned a big area full of brake master cylinders just piled up in a heap. Those were the rejects and Toyota by far had the highest standards. At the time Chrysler was the bottom of the barrel. I don't know what is "OK" for a brake master cylinder? The throw aways looked good to me. They told me those parts were melted down and started again as a billet of aluminum.
The low dealer stock here is pitiful.
