Huk Makos in summer. Some Sperry duck boots in winter or wet/cool
Keen Uneek in the summer and Oboz B Dry in the winter. After months battling Plantar Fasciitis for months I picked up some Hoka 7 this week. So far this is my shoe. It feels better than my Brooks with a custom insert.
You just need to find what works for your feet.
Brooks Ghost or Hoka Clifton 8
The Brooks has always been my favorite, but the Hoka is super comfortable when you’re standing all day. I’m concerned about long term durability for what they cost.
For Winter I wear Adidas Terex shoes.

I am also a keen sandals guy, when it gets colder I wear a pair of Brooks gore-tex running shoes.
Hoka One One Bondi's
Uber-plush, max-cushioning running shoes- Makes a huge difference when standing all day.
I wear those till it gets under 45 degrees. Under 45 I wear some Cabela's hiking boots with 400 g of Thinsulate. They are not that comfortable but with with insulated socks they keep my feet warm.

Barefoot from April to October usually.
1. I’m a hillbilly
2. I hate the way wet shoes feel if it rains.
Nov through March is usually a pair of 20 year old Redwing Goretex boots that are STiLL bone dry inside after 10 hours in rain or snow.
Asics or Brooks. Only a good running shoe has enough support to keep my feet from aching after a 8-10 hour day standing on the front deck. Modern athletic shoe tend to be hot and I'm always looking for a shoe that has good support, but is cooler.
Crocs. Best shoe ive ever worn for back issues. I dont care what they look like…..and I sport ankle socks under them, lol

I wear sneakers/tennis/athletic shoes most of the time. So when they retire out of normal service they get put into use for activities such as fishing. When they have served in hay role for a while they get put into lawn mowing or similar duty.
So I either wear a pair of white new balances or a suede or brown leather cross country type shoe.
Sketchers, Vans look alike.
I used to wear running shoes that I had retired from everyday use that were getting close to being thrown out. Then I started wearing non-worn out gym shoes and it made a big difference. Used to wear Keen sandals in the summer for fishing- not anymore. Nowadays, I wear my best, most comfortable gym shoes when I fish since my legs feel better at the end of the day. I doubt this would have mattered in my 20s or 30s but as I get closer to 50 it makes a difference.
