    Ranger brake disable (backup)?

Relocating boat with truck that had no trailer wiring and when attempting to backup driveway with a slight uphill, the trailer brakes would engage. Attempted to press down and turn pot-metal circular switch to disable braking and it wouldn’t press down, nor turn. Any tips?

Stick a bolt/pin behind the actuator so it won’t slide. Then you can back up.

Buy this from amazon and keep it on your boat. You’ll never have another issue.

A couple of nuts and some duct tape will work.

I bought the magnetic lock out key and spray painted it black and leave it in all the time. I have a short drive to the river.
