2017 Mercury 115 Pro XS

Initially I had a shifting issue which board members helped me resolve.
It now appears to be shifting properly but I get no Tell-Tale water stream either with the motor submerged in a container of water or with muffs. Is it as simple as possibly drawing air along with the water thus not priming or something else?

Don't know if it is possible, but could you have not aligned the tube with the outlet of the water pump when reassembling the lower unit to the midsection?

It is my first time doing this so anything is possible Mechanic Bob. I thought about that but will need to pull the lower unit to check. After going through this exercise pulling the lower unit is not as big a job as I initially thought. I'll let you know.

Make sure that the drive key for the impeller is in place. Fairly easy to drop it when assembling, and that can definitely cause no water flow.
