Ok,did a pork roast for shredding, turned out great.
Darn thing fell apart when transfering to the cooler..what go you use to pick up roast?
Seems like gloves would do the trick.

rubber gloves may be the way to go, but as far as wasting your money on bear claws I totally disagree with that. They work great for picking up roasts and pork butts and chickens and such, they also work very good for shredding meat. For a $10 investment, I certainly don’t think it’s a waste of money. I use mine all the time and they work great.
I BELIEVE!!!!
I use silicone heat resistant gloves to pull, handle, wrap, and shred everything I cook on the BGE. My wife tried to pull some St. Louis style ribs off the Egg the other day using tongs. I had surgery so I was letting her tend to things after I got them started. She ended up having to get up under them with gloves to get them off in one piece. I was a proud man in that moment.
