    Factory transducer placement

    I ordered 2 Helix 10 MSI at the console with my 819. Is the factory transducer a thru hull transducer, or is it a skimmer on the back of the boat? I've never had a thru hull, how does it do reading Side Imaging?

    The side imaging transducer is mounted on the back of the boat under the jack plate. They will also mount a puck transducer in the bilge area for speed and depth while running.

    Mine works great where they mounted them, I just would have preferred to have the SI ducer on my jackplate.

    Agree with 100% I moved mine to the jp.
