Power pole making whining noise on the way down

Just noticed it today but one of my 8ft Power Pole blade is making a whining noise on the way down but not on the way up. Has anybody experienced this?

    Thanks in advance!

Yes mine did that over the summer sounded like air in system but it wasn't. I sent it in they rebuilt the pump and fixed it.

One of mine started doing that and looked all over You Tube. Changed the fluid on the unit making the racket and it fixed it. While there also did the same on the other unit.

Start with a fluid change ( when us the last time fluid was changed). If this does not fix the problem send pump into power pole for rebuild. (24 hour turnaround) Problem solved

I don’t think the fluid has ever been changed. Will try that route and will report back. Thank you all!

There is a small round screen on the bottom of the pump assembly. There may be some gunk clogged around it. Be careful when cleaning it or wiping it at it can collapse easily.

Update…Had the oil changed and the one pole still makes noise at the top and at the bottom. Basically, whenever the motor hits some pressure. The other pole is fine and does not make the noises at all.

    Anything else I should try?
