    2004 520VX drain plug question

Somewhere on my way to the boat ramp today, my drain plug fell out of the boat. So, my stupid question, is there a specific size I need to look for for a replacement plug, or is it pretty universal? It's a plastic threaded plug. I couldn't find any good information by googling it yet.

Those plastic screw in plugs are 1/2” male iron pipe threads. Walmart sells some brass replacements if you are in a bind.

I’ve bought replacement plugs at ranger dealerships before. Call around.

Thanks. I figured out it's basically impossible to find just the male part, so I ordered a TH Marine coarse thread replacement and will replace the whole thing. I got a spare also.

Replace it with a remote drain plug. Best thing I ever did to my 2000 520VX. 15 min job and saves you from having to crawl underneath. It’s a game changer.
