    In general jigs are used to imitate a crawdad and crank baits are to imitate a shad, that's why black, blue, green pumpkin and brown are the most common jig colors, and the most common crankbait colors are white, silver, grey, chartreuse or some combination of those.

    Lots of black backed cranks. For instance I fish a black back chartreuse crank a lot. Can’t think of anything I have with both black and blue in cranks.

    With red glitter, even better. When I paint some up, I add fine/medium red glitter to the clear, close to a black\red glitter gitzit. Used to use the bandit cranks in this color, I’ve still got a few. You are correct, it’s money.

    I have never thrown a black and blue crank bait. Been wondering about green pumpkin since I do so well on that color with all jigs or plastics.
    Thanks for this post and answers. It’s great to read stuff like this even though we are a bunch of lying ass fishermen.

    These are both literally my go to..
    both are hand made locally , and the one above it the “Whitty” bait that I mentioned above who is a board sponsor , and all around great guy. The lower was painted to my request..

    I've seen a Spro in black and blue but not much others or they just don't carry them where I'm shopping...lol
