Here’s Electric in the ATV market

    https://ranger.polaris.com/en-us/ranger-xp-kinetic/

Polaris unveiled the electric ranger, I expected it to be coming but didn’t expect it this soon. 3yr machine w/5yr battery warranty… gas machines are just a 1yr.

Will be interesting to see how it sells. We have three allocated to our dealership. Power and torque numbers are very good. The real world mileage numbers will be interesting.

Might work good. But would b a pain if you were way out in the woods and battery went dead. I also wonder why they call these and cars EV s when they are battery powered. Looks like BV would b appropriate.

at 25k guess I would take 2 gassers and destroy the environment. Wonder how long before California makes them the only one you can use out there.

    Lol.

Honestly they probably will be great for work around the farm, etc. Less parts to break, and UTVs are pretty bad for reliability in general. Huge cost to buy one though

This is roughly based on the XP 1000 chassis which starts around 18k.

Haven’t these been out for 10yrs or so? Or am I thinking UTV. I know my sister had one. It was made for hunting and was pretty badass.

Polaris has made an EV Ranger for several years but this one is completely new with modern technology.

$25k for a electric ranger XP with a 80mi range or $25k for a gas ranger XP Northstar with heat/A/C and power windows…. I know what I’d pick.
I’m interested to see how they sell but part of the fun to me is the vroom gas and go thrill. On the utility side, wonder how it would handle a snow plow or running the lake with a fish house in the cold? See where it goes…

Way longer than that, electric golf carts have been around over 50 years.

There's a reason golf courses that require traversing steep grades from hole to hole provide players with gas and not electric carts. And it's only a four hour mission

Yeah and electric UTV wouldn't work at all for the riding I do, up and down hills all day, we usually ride so far we have to fill up at the nearest town before we ride back to our vehicles. It would be hard to charge the battery in the middle of the woods if it went dead, much easier to carry a gas can.
