Z series yamaha sho prop

What prop are yall running on a 521 or 522?

Im running yamaha sho 250

I currently have v max prop. 25p
I get up about 6k, i just dont get much top end would like to try and squeeze a bit more on top.

2014 Z521C / 250 SHO, PowerPoles, dual consoles, 8” Atlas JP, full of gear, etc. also with VMAX 25p T1 that has been professionally worked. Awesome hole shot, bow lift, and acceleration, with top speeds of 70-71 mph GPS at 6100 rpm. Prior to full Ionic lithium battery setup I saw 67-69 mph max.

Prop work was done by http://www.stevescustomprops.com/, and he commented that a original 25p T1 is perfect for our boat / motor combo and is in high demand. I tried a Tempest which had a good hole shot and acceleration but was down 2-3 mph for me. So I found a used T1 and now have twins.

not Sure where i would even find a t1
i Think mine may be a t1 on my boat now, but id need another prop to be able to send this one to be worked.

What would be another good prop for top end?

What kind of performance and speeds are you seeing now?

I run a z522,
Around 6k i see about 64 65 but takes awhile to get there,
Holeshot is almost instantly, but i just looked at my prop
it Has the square plug insert holes but no plugs

Would plugs give me anymore top end or

Yes, plug those vent holes go run it and report back.

Do you have an adjustable jack plate?

Do you know what your PTP prop to pad is or performs best at?

What year boat and engine?
