Factory Skeeter cover

Does anyone know exactly what fabric is used on the factory Skeeter fitted boat covers. I am going to have one made, using the original cover as patterns, but I would like to have the factory correct fabric.

I was told it was Sunbrella, but I’m not sure. Sunbrella that I keep finding is black exterior and interior. The original is black exterior and white interior.

I don’t mind spending money on the correct stuff, but I’d rather not spend $1150 for just the Sunbrella fabric…then spend money on labor. The original cover is 19 years old. It has started to finally deteriorate badly. I could poke a hole in it with my finger, if I wanted to. If I can save a few dollars and get close to that service life, that’s what I’d like to do. Hopefully the factory material is not the $38 per yard stuff that I keep finding online.

better yet…someone have a factory cover that they aren’t using they’d like to sell?

It's not sunbrella. It's more of a vinyl cover versus a canvas...

I'm about to put the factory cover on my FXR for the first time. Anything special in putting it on that I need to be aware of? I know some boats like the TM turned a particular way. I've already removed the graphs and 360.

That is the closest to what I have been looking for, but it ain’t a factory cover…at least it doesn’t look like mine. I sent them an email. Thanks for the link.

Go to Harbor Freight and get a roll of "saran wrap" and a hand held applicator. Wrap this around the rub rail area a couple of times before applying the cover. The saran wrap will protect the fiberglass from scratching while trailering.
