No different than putting an excavator or crane on a barge. Just a smaller scale.

I thought the same thing at first but I sure as heck wouldn't be buckled to that thing myself. If (when) it flips over, you are going to drown.

Used many scissor lifts through the years while, framing, hanging, and drywall finishing. Never like that.

I would have driven the lift onto the floats then drained the pool. I wouldn't raise the lift until it was sitting on the bottom of the pool.

A quick google search shows that a 19' scissor lift weighs 3,209 lbs the two brave men estimated weight I'm guessing at a total of 475 lbs. total weight 3,684 lbs. A 80" x 10' x 15" floating dock panel has the weight capacity of 4,000 lbs x 4 panels = 16,000 lbs. I don't think it is OSHA approved but I think that it is feasible.

Disclaimer: I'm not an engineer but have worked in the construction business for 30 years and have seen some crazy ways to reach your work . LOL!

How do they paddle back over ? Don't see a rope let alone a kicker motor.
