    Question Anyone still fishing?

Or is the boat put to sleep?

I am hopeful to get a few days in before the water stiffens up.

I'm still trying to pick a day or two that I can sneak out without much wind and temp hopefully in the 40's ...lol but the days have been having a stiff breeze so far but will get there sooner or later before the water gets hard I hope...I may have to head for the cape as that's the last place to freeze up normally. Saw a pic from this weekend car topper tourney 4 fish for 16lbs with a 7 plus lunker ...

Oh yea. Been spending the last month now in Vermont going for trophy smallies, and it has paid off. Got my new PB smallmouth at 5.04 lbs the day before Thanksgiving. Went back this past Sunday and my buddy beat his PB twice, first with a 5.20 lber and then a 5.28 lber a few hours later. Best day we've had yet, best 5 went 24.15 lbs.

This past Sunday for the two from Andrew, and then last week for mine, the day before Thanksgiving. It was pretty nice out that day. Sunny, very light winds and air temps in the upper 30's.

I have still been fishing every weekend and bite is getting better as fish have adjusted to the rapid temp drop over last month (and fishing pressure has dropped of drastically). I will be out fishing Sunday for at least for a few hours.

Almost always out with my brother this time year so if I go in the drink there is somebody there to laugh at me and help me back in. Luckily have not gone in the drink yet other then on purpose in the summer.

Still at it. Went back up to Vermont for a 4th consecutive trip and caught my PB smallmouth again, but barely, lol. 5.06 lbs to just pass my previous PB at 5.04 lb I caught from the same lake the day before Thanksgiving. It has been a grind for a few bites, but they've mostly been big so I'm not going to complain. Damiki Rig has been key for a lot of our fish, almost all of them in 40' or deeper. Hoping to get down to Candlewood Lake this weekend and keep the streak going for big smallmouth, but we'll see what the weather has in store for us.
