    Yeah that is what I thought but of course that is surface temp and we have had some unseasonably weather couple days close to 60 and night that have stayed above 45 so

    I'm gonna have to pick up a swimming pool thermometer and add a weight to it ,so I can drop it down and check deeper water temp for comparison...lol

    I have something for doing that but always forget to try it. be interesting in summer also. Trying to find digital one on a long lead that will read temp at depth. Not sure how fast the one I have will change as I pull it up. The one I have is the pool type but thinner with metal case and the red dye in the bubble.

    Edit: I looked up my order the one I got was meant for fly fisherman to read river temps.

    I went out today, 38-39 degree water, 6 bass (4 keepers) and 11 Calico all with a jerkbait

    A decent amount of action but no big ones

    I fished Mashpee on Wednesday. Water temps were 42°-43°. We fished 7:30-4:30pm and caught 7 smallmouth, some perch and a trout. Our two biggest of the day were 4-15 and 3-06. Nice way to end the season!
