    “Props” to Mark

Just wanted to give a plug for Mark and his work. I’ve run a myriad of props on my boat since repowering to a 175 in 2011, but could never break 70 MPH. Was pretty close on a couple, but not quite. Sent my 25 pitch Fury 3-blade to Mark a few months ago for a B&B. Haven’t really had the opportunity to run it WOT since due to weather (wind) and other boat traffic. This past weekend had perfect conditions (tiny bit of chop) and no other boats on the lake. 1/3 tank of fuel, new Ultrex on the bow, and all my gear. Ran 70.2, and I could have squeezed a bit more out of it. I have never felt the midrange acceleration like that before on this boat. Actually had me looking around to see if something was wrong. I’m guessing with a little tinkering, I could run 72-73 without too much trouble. Nice to know there are some quality folks still making good product out there.

70 mph with a 175 hp is impressive on an everyday bassboat.

    That's rolling with a 175 for sure.

Impressive for sure. No doubt Mark has a way with props. He has whispered to mine a few times.
