Mega 360 interference or cross talk

All of a sudden I’m getting this on my Mega 360. I think it’s because of the Mega Live. Doesn’t happen all of the time and it seems to happen in shallower water. I should also add that I get the same type of cross talk on my 2D on my console unit

Have you tried the different interference rejection settings? Does it go away when you stop pinging ML?

Yes, I've tried different settings for the interference rejection but it doesn't help much and I thought that was for the Mega Live. I'm also going to test today by turning off the Mega Live control head and seeing if the 360 clears up. I do know that when I stow the trolling motor the 2D clears up at the console unit.

There is a setting for auto water column sensitivity. Turn it off when in shallow water. This isn't related to mLive.

I'll try that but this interference didn't start until I added the Mega Live and it also doesn't explain the 2D on the console graph.

In addition to the Mega Live Interference Rejection Setting, there is also an Interference/Noise setting on the general Sonar Settings. Give that one a try. By the way, that one isn't progressive so you have to try each of the 6 settings to see what works best.

This is before mLive. I don't remember looking at 2d then. I didn't ask what unit you are running. Ours are Solix. The water column setting is -3 in this picture. I couldn't find the picture I made in shallow water, but it looks even more like your picture.

Thanks. I have three Helix 12 G4N units. The two at the bow are MDI and one at console is MSI. The 2D at the bow is on the unit I use for Live and the transducer is the Ultrex MDI That 2D doesn’t get the interference. I tested yesterday putting the mega Live control head in standby and when doing that no interference on the Mega 360 unit or on the console 2D. My Mega live is connected to the Ethernet box.

The Mega Live or the most part is clean.

Just curious - did you install the choke between the charger and your electronics battery? (Assuming you have a multi bank charger).

Yes. I don’t believe this is electrical or RFI interference. It only happens when the Mega Live unit is on and i didn’t notice it until recently. However, when I first went out with the Mega Live I was only running the Mega 360 in forward mode. Plus the 2D at the console is getting the same type of cross talk. Puzzling for sure
