1999 Evinrude Ficht 90 hp EV Diag. software missing Coefficient Tab?

I have a 1999 FICHT (E90FPLEEC) 90 hp that needs 1 injector changed. I noticed the EV Diag software does not show a tab with the injector coefficient files. I found a thread on another site that suggested the coefficient do not need to be updated/changed when an injector is changed on the 1999 models. Can anybody validate this is true? Or does my motor need a software update that woud then allow me to see the coefficient file tab in EV Diag?

As well the software doesn't show anything that would allow me the option to change the oil type I am using. Is this something else I don,t have to worry about changing on this engine.

I have a manual that explains a lot, but doesn't address this specifically. Any input will be appreciated.

    Thanks

There are no coefficients or oil choice available for this engine. All very basic.

Thanks for the confirmation, doesn't seem to be much documentation on this.

Those weren't water cooled ecu/emm...so no coefficients needed.

A 1999 V4 90hp FICHT ECU is water cooled. The '97 and '98 V6 FICHTs were the only ones with an air-cooled ECU which had fins on them along with plastic shrouds on the motor to channel the air flow.

Yup, the ECU/EMM is water cooled.

The 1999 engine and components look the same as the 2000 - 2004's. All the part from 2000 - 2004 appear the same, but the part numbers were changed in 2000.... might have had something to do with the Bombardier take over?

I'm thinking of trying a FICHT injector from a 2003 135hp in my 90hp motor. They look the same, internal coil resistance looks the same, I may just swap the nozzles, so the nozzle that was in my 90hp stays with the motor.... has anybody tried this?

90 hp injector is 5000770. 135 hp injector has been superseded 4 times. Last part number is 5005195.

They use different fasteners, but as suggested look the same. As the coefficient is for the nozzle, it may well work by swapping nozzles if everything else is equal.

Strange thing is, for that model year the 90hp and 135hp motors use the same (5005195) injector.

A 1999 FICHT ha a 24 volt system for the injectors but a 2000 and later model uses 40 volt injectors

Interesting that I have a 5005195 (40V) and the connector fits the 1999 90hp (24V) wiring harness. I used the EV DIAG Software to see if it would actuate, it did. Audibly, it sounded the same as the other 3 injectors. You would think OMC would have made the connectors, for the 24V and 40V systems, different.

    I wonder how much the
fuel economy improved in the FICHT (40V) 2000 - 2004 motors, over it's 1999 cousin with the 24V injectors and no calibration data...

Voltage increase is utilized to improve electrical efficiency. Meaning reduce heat, reduce amperage draw, increase improve injector response time. At that time the goal was also maintaining emission compliance.
