Motor Mate fail on Etec G1

I have an Etec G1 and have had a horrible experience with Motor Mate supports, they keep bending. Can anyone recommend a motor support that works and will not buckle?

I cant comment on another one but I have been using the motor mate on mine since 2016, G1-250 HP. If you have a jackplate it needs to be lowered all the way.

I am using the built in one now but feel an aftermarket unit would be better.
This is my 3rd motor mate and all 3 buckled in the same place. I did have one warrantied by the MFG who said it "has" happened before.
My hope was other folks are having success with another brand and I was asking the group for recommendations.

Respectfully and just wondering. What / why is leading you to believe the built in engine bracket is inadequate?

I'm wondering what an aftermarket one will do that the built in one won't. My previous boat that I sold a few months ago had a G1 Etec. Used the factory built in one and never had an issue in the 5 years I owned it.

Just get old school, motor to trailer roller, tried and proven probably more than 60 years , what’s old
saying , if it anit broke don’t try and fix it. Plus that’s only way you get some road traveling motor weight off your transom.
Dont try look pretty, be nice to your transom.

My factory one broke, which Evinrude replaced, had one MM bend and they sent me a replacement. If this MM bends I'm going old school, with the factory installed one as a backup...

and that's all i have to say about that,,,
