    106 to 93 to 106

I had a 106 installed about a month ago and had it networked to my 93 on the Bow. I bought a 106 from the sale to replace the 93. I use it for Live Scope. Well when I hooked up the 106 on the bow I dont get panoptics as a choice so I dont get live scope.

The 93 only had two wires hooked up, one for power and the other for panoptics I do get live scope on the 106 at the counsel

What do I have to do to get panoptics on the 106 at the bow for my livescope.

They current 106 and 93 are networked together

    TIA

Does that unit need to have the latest update to have livescope?

Question, are you using the The 12-pin Panoptix LiveScope LVS12 transducer on the 93 unit?

You can't connect Livescope to a 93 and still network it to another unit...... So we are confused.
Are you sure the Livescope (GLS) isn't directly connected to the 106 at the console and then it is networked to the 93? If you replace the 93 with the 106 and can't see LS it most likely is a software issue, I hope...

If you connect the GLS10 to the 93 you have used the only network port on that unit, thus you can not network to anything else.
To connect what you want you need to connect in the correct order.

    • LiveScope GLS 10 sonar black box to one 106 using the supplied adapter to network cable to one network port.
    • the same 106 to the other 106 with a network cable
    • the second 106 to the 93 with a network cable

If you have all connected this way and the new 106 does not work, I also do not know why.

SAL, if you are referring to an on screen button, if LS is not powered up or connected to the network, the will not be an icon on screen. Also there will only be one icon that will say "Panoptix". You can add another icon to the main page that will say "Livescope" but it's the same thing as "panoptix".

Ok I guess I got some confused

I want to take the 93 on the bow out and replace it with another 106. Supposedly the 93 is right now networked with my 106 at the counsel. Shouldnt I just plug and play the new 106 and be good to go.

On the 93 right now is just two wires, Power and Live scope 12 pin connector

Yes, you should be able to plug and play. But what you are saying, is not possible with your existing set-up. You cannot connect Livescope (GLS) to a 93 and "also" network it to another unit at the same time. There is only one port on the back that will allow a network/LS connection.
But regardless, if you just replace the 93 with a 106 you should see the same thing that you saw on the 93. Most likely you have Livescope connected to the 106 and another network cable is going from the 106 to the 93, because the 106 has 2 ports.. The plugs on the cables are the same.
Keep in mind, that depending on how you have the different units wired to power, including the Livescope, will depend on how everything works together. My point is, make sure everything is powered on to see networked feeds.

Ok, it sounds like you need to select the transducer source on the unit that is not working.
Start only the unit with the 12-pin Panoptix LiveScope LVS12 transducer. Does it show up?
Start the second unit. Does it have a transducer on it like a gt54, or gt56?
Start both units, on the unit that does not show the 12-pin Panoptix LiveScope LVS12 transducer, select any screen, menu key, sonar setup, source.
Are there options to choose transducers?
You had me confused on how you got it to work, I understand maybe know.

I agree with Kclost...your current setup is not networked with the other 106. Yes you can take out the 93 and plug the new 106 right up BUT you are still missing one piece, a network cable. Once you get that network cable connect the two 106 units together and all will be networked at that point.
