There are many places you could be dropping voltage along the way. A wire going direct from the battery will most likely drop .2 or so volts. It depends on the wire size and the fish finder load. If you are dropping more than .5 something needs to be done to make it better. You read the voltage at the battery while having the FF turned on. Then at the place the FF is hooked up. The difference is called the voltage drop. Bob
