Nitro gel coat on bottom of hull

Hi fellas- I have a 2022 Nitro Z19 custom colors with a black bottom. I have a heavy duty towtector rock guard on my truck. I go to a desolate lake that has a 58 mile (one way) dirt road. I’ve made the trek one time with my new boat. 30 mph was my top speed in all 116 miles.
All that to say this- Not one rock chip on the sides of my bull. Bottom however, has many many superficial rock chips.
sides of the boat seem to have a nice hard gel coat. I’m very suspicious of the bottom. Not only is it a much duller color then the sides, it also appears and feels like there isn’t any gel coat. What are all your thoughts?
I love the boat but am very disappointed in the finish quality of the bottom of the hull.

I'm thinking it is only the angle the stones strike, the sides may be more of a glancing blow. Is this a land of dinosaurs deal?

gel on the bottom is no different. Black is gonna show every scratch, chip, and gouge.

Ahh. I’m picking up what you are laying down now. Lol.
Montana and Wyoming both have trails that lead to special places.

With a black hull, a sharpie is a good thing to have.

Is that towtector as close to the ground as possible? Needs to be, i would think even touching the ground when not moving, cause at 30mph it will be pushed up slightly by air.

Also you might look into something that mounts to the trailer.

I don't think it would matter much on any boat manufacturer, that's a long haul on gravel roads. And as mentioned, the sides just deflect.
