New Carpet & Seats insalled 201D

I just had new carpet installed and I installed new seats from Deans Top & Canvas. I made a deck extension and also had to make a center step between the seats

Also had 1/2" padding installed on the front deck from the rod lockers and storage box up.

Looks great! How'd you make and secure the extension?

Tom, I made the extension out of wood. I painted it with epoxy paint and then added a sheet of ABS plastic to the top. To secure it I used alluminium angle that sits on top of the rod locker lips and the storage box lip. I added some velcro squares to keep it in place and up off the fiberglass lip to not damage it.

Is whatever is in front of the access hole now permanent? What is it or what is your plan?

ou1, that's a spinner bait box i just had it out it does not stay there. I got a hunter green aluminum panel being made to cover it.

That's great, thank you. I may have to steal your plans. ;)

My brother had that color combination on his '96 Cobra, always liked the dark green with gold accent stripe. Good looking boat and congrats on the facelift. I re-carpeted my Cobra several years ago, I did it myself and was a pain but well worth the effort. I won't be jumping up and down to do another one though! HAHAHA!!!

    UKfishin,

Really like how everything looks, especially the seats.
Is there storage in the bottom of the seats? how does that work since the fuel tank is there?

Did you replace the gauges? what did you use?

BTW, did you replace the compartment lights? if so, what did you use?

Sorry for all the questions, but I am thinking of upgrading a few thing, even though the originals are still in great shape.

thank you much for the info,

    Frank

Wow that really looks great. Absolutely first rate job.
digthemup, I put led retrofit bulbs that will fit in all the original holders throughout the boat. In both long lockers you can use those led strips with sticky backing and put them the entire length of the locker. I powered each one right from the original bulb holder in each locker that way when you flip it on, the bulb and the led strip light up. I had to use metal HVAC foil tape to help support the led strips as they don't stick perfectly to the underside of the top cap.
