    2” spacers needed, I think..

96 Skeeter, I’m slowly getting parts for a hydraulic steering upgrade, but my 6” jackplate will put a hydraulic steering cylinder right on top of my transom . Soooo, I read that 2” spaceres between the old 96 200EFI and the jackplate will create the room needed to tilt motor all the way up for transport.

sooo, anyone know where to get 2” spacers?

and while I’m asking, anyone selling a Seastar helm or 18’ hydraulic hoses?

    thanks, and happy turkey day!

If nothing else drill your own out of 2” aluminum bars and weld them solid together with 1/4” square tubing to save weight.

Well, I can’t weld, and I’d prefer getting some that are professionally built, rather than relying on my own handiwork, as that would be pretty suspect…
im thinking that if I assemble all parts, and have everything ready, I can hang engine and do steering and spacers at the same time..

You can sometimes find a manual 8" take off for a reasonable price. That would be a easy fix. Good Luck.

I had a 96 skeeter 200 ZX with hydraulic steering and it never had any spacers. But I had an 8" jack plate.

    Aha! Mine has 6”

maybe a used 8” plate is a viable answer too
