    MKA-42 or MKA-52/62 for Ultrex?

I have a 24v 45” shaft Ultrex and would like to add a quick detach mount for it. I see that both the 42 and 52/62 are listed as compatible but not sure what the difference is. Anybody know which one I need?

The 42 is rated for up to 45” foot control motors, while the 52/62 is good for the 52-72” shaft foot control motors.

The 42 is about 18x7 and the 52/62 is about 24x7. MK has dimensioned drawings on the web site.

I have the MKA-42 on my tin boat. When the tin boat is dragged south for the winter behind my wife's vehicle, I slide the Ultrex off and strap it to the deck. Makes it easier for her to see out the back window and reduces the tonque weight. I kept the Fortrex that the Ultrex replaced and put half of an MKA-42 on it so if I wreck the Ultrex, I can easily slide it off and take it in for repair and easily slide on the Fortrex to use as a replacement.
