    Sharing Waypoints

Helix 9 at bow, helix 12 at console.

I can’t get the waypoints to show up on my console unit that I marked on my bow unit?

Do Helix have a setting to turn on waypoint sharing?

The waypoint sharing option is turned on. Wayne I assume the software version is the same as they are both new G4N units.

Not a good assumption to make. It would depend on when they were manufactured and could definitely have shipped with different software versions. You need to check each unit to see which version they are running.

Look at the System Status view page. It is listed there. You will probably have to turn that "View" on to see it.

This is pretty basic and I would assume not an issue, but if the bow unit is not turned on, the console unit will not see the way points on that unit or vice versa. They are saved in the memory of the unit that created them.

Don't ask how I know this. Panic, Panic !!

So I've had both units turned on, Share Waypoints settings turned on for both units, and the software version seems to be the same for both units.

One thing I noticed is that when I go into my system setup, it's only showing one graph instead of two. Is there a chance my ethernet hub is not powering up?

Ethernet has to be functioning to share waypoints.
Both units should be listed for all the functions on both units in their Network Source menus.

    Thought so. Thanks Wayne!

Tonight I'll try to track down why it may not be getting power.

It is also possible to have power on the ethernet switch and still not have a unit networked...so need to also check all ethernet cable connections.
