    Help finding a Replacement Wheel

I hit a pot hole and destroyed a tire and wheel. I'm hoping to find a replacement wheel, but I have been struggling to find the same wheel. It is a 17 inch wheel with 5x4.5 pattern (they actually have 10 holes, I used the 5x4.5). I have attached a photograph of the wheel and the stamp on the inside of the center cap. If anyone has any ideas of where to look, I would be grateful.

I believe that wheel is made by Mayhem. I know Pros Choice Marine in Missouri put there wheels on some upgraded trailers. Might check with them. Here’s a link to Mayhem.

I don’t know what 70 series means, but I would prefer something more durable. Thanks for the suggestion.

70 series is the sidewall height as in tire size 225/70r15. 225=tread width in mm, 70= sidewall height in ratio to tread width, in this case 225x.70=158mm, r = radial tire, 15=wheel diameter. So the bigger the sidewall ratio the taller it is for a given tire width. More sidewall height more flex and more durability for bumps in the road. Low profile tires have much stiffer sidewalls and are more prone to bump damage.

Better make sure that your axle isn't bent. These pictures were from a previous boat that I owned. This happened when I turned a little too sharp going about 1 mph and went off a sharp granite curb. Bent the axle and trashed the rim & tire. If you can tell, the two tires aren't exactly running in the same direction. Tire 1.jpgTire 2.jpg
