    Mega live and 45” shaft

I assume someone has mounted a mega live on an Ultrex with a 45 inch shaft with a 360? It doesn’t appear that I am going to have much room. Could anyone who’s done this give your thoughts?

It' does get a light tight space wise, but it works...and I have a Hydrowave speaker right there too!

can't they go on the shaft of the 360 so you can watch where you are fishing on spot lock?

That would make no sense, you would have to move the boat to point the LIVE in different directions.

I just thought if I am spotlocked in the wind fishing a spot and the tm is turning a bunch it will keep looking where the motor goes vs where I am fishing ?

If you fish a windy lake with it attached to the trolling mtr it won't be pointed in the same direction long enough to get an idea of what's there.

That is my point the boat stays pointed at one place and the motor is spinning back and forth to hold it so if the ducer is on the tm shaft its going to be all over the place

That is what I was wondering also . The 360 is in a fixed forward position . Just hoping somebody has tried it (still waiting on mine )

I was fishing today in windy conditions and watching bass on LIVE with Spotlock turned on and catching. If the wind is steady from one direction like it was today, you just position down wind of the target area and the motor won't be hunting.

I’ve seen a few guys, including Tim from tacticalbassin, with them mounted on an independent shaft with a foot pedal to move the live transducer. Forget the brand but he said he’d talk more about it after he has more time testing. Looked like a good solution for all situations except space saving.

There are several electric poles for forward facing sonar:

I just ordered the new Livescanner - I don't like how high I will have to raise my 360 and with our waters would rather keep it down. It will be a process getting all of this together but can't wait!
