Sitting on the Sidelines for a few weeks.

Delivered the Ultrex to Cole at Robbies Trolling motor in Broken Arrow to repair my Ultrex I fried by going too long on high speed down on Lake Fork looking for crappie.
Headed to Kansas deer hunting on 12/1 and then hitting the road driving with my wife to Florida to visit family and maybe get a little golf in as well.
You boys don’t rough up those fish too much while I am gone!

You’re going to Florida & NOT fishing for peacock bass? Bummer! Have fun (hope you do better in Kansas than I did in Illinois).

I expect not to. 4 years up there hunting WIHA without firing a shot.
Friends have killed 2 good bucks up there 2 years ago.
I will enjoy my time there.
And hopefully set me up for fishing the St. John’s,Kissimmee and Big O some days soon.

Weird year for deer hunting in Kansas.
    No Wind for three days.
    75-77 degrees for three days.
Very little deer activity even in the cool mornings.
One friend scored a buck with a large 10 point rack on a 175 lb. field dressed deer on opening day!
He Saw an even bigger buck close after his went down.

I walked 3 miles on Friday morning exploring one track near a river.
Then went and walked a big track which was 3 miles long. I figured I walked 10 more miles that afternoon. Never saw a deer that day!
Not bad on repaired hips. Very stiff this morning but feel much better after getting out of the truck and walking.
I enjoyed my 3 days outdoors in Kansas with my friends.
    Now on to Florida.
