    2008 Champ 188 wooden transom Looking to buy one any thoughts

    I am looking at a 2008 Champ 188 with 200 ETEC HO.
    Does it have wood in the transom?
    Any thoughts good or bad about that model or the ETEC?

    No wood. From about 2003 on, Champs were all composite. Composite can still get in bad condition, so proper sealing of all drilled areas is essential on ANY bass boat.

    The 188 is a really great model. Pretty much a super all around good size.

    I am not familiar with the ETEC, but I am sure someone who is will be along….
