Assuming you've checked, cleaned, and tightened all battery connections, what is voltage at the battery after 5mins with engine at idle? Does your battery load test well above engine only minimum required 800 COLD cranking amps by a healthy margin (at least 900CCA)?

Trim symptoms described above can be caused by a weak battery, alternator, or both.

Thanks for the reply...one more item to note...motor stops trimming up around 5100 rpm and will not blow out of continued trimming up like it used to? Brand new 1000cca battery and connections are tight

Inspect/torque engine mounting hardware, jackplate hardware, and make sure that the jackplate (if any) is "square" to the transom.

Also inspect the striker plates for any grooves or damage.

Any of the above can result in a negative "tuck" that would decrease the total degree angle the trim would achieve.
