There are 2 updates available for this engine, the latest incorporating all previous updates is 61620HO. Your mechanic should have updated it years ago.

By fitting the warmer thermostat 5005440 and using QC10WEP plugs instead of QC12PEP should lengthen plug life and idle running.

I updated the thermostat and plugs when I got the boat...as far as the 61620HO update, can you tell from the engine report if this was done or not? I have the engine report posted in a previous report. Thanks.

It has not or it would have it listed on the engine report. You are currently at 47166HO.
