    Lake James

    Hey Guys,
    Our bass club voted to have our yearly 2-day tournament at lake James this year. Never been on the lake and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for accommodations that are boat friendly (good parking and a way to charge the batteries)? Dates are March 26th-27th, also, how is the fishing that time of year?

    What ramp are you taking out of? I would stay in morganton or Marion depending on the ramp. More option near morganton.

    Looks like we are using the Canal Bridge boat ramp off of James Ave. I'm used to the Yadkin chain of lakes so this will be a whole new experience for me.

    We stayed at a VRBO on the lake in Nebo and it was awesome.

    I was thinking about going this way, me and my partner thought about taking the wives and making a mini vacation out of it.

    Check out Lake James Marina, they may have some cabins. 1/2 mile from the ramp. It is under new management.
