I have an HDS7 gen2 touch at the console. It has both the regular 2d ducer and the lss-2 ducer for down/side scan. I am having issues with losing the regular 2d sonar. I have isolated the issue to the ducer by swapping it out at the bow to make sure the head unit is good. I have also turned off networking so it can only read from "this unit". I have confirmed that the correct ducer is selected. It has all the latest updates and I also did a soft reset.
Here is my issue/question - when the 2d sonar cuts out, I also lose the down/ss image. Does the lss-2 ducer rely on the 2d ducer to establish depth and then utilize that info for the down/ss? If I replace the 2d ducer will all my issues be resolved? Is a hard reset worth trying?
